Amélie Jacquin (Gai)
Perfumer
(Paris)
Creating a perfume is so deeply personal that you feel like you’re wearing a piece of yourself. Imagine your childhood in Grasse, surrounded by the scents of jasmine, rose, lavender and oleander. Such was the childhood of Amélie Jacquin, who grew up exploring the region's flowers and smelling perfumes with her mother. These moments were the inspiration that led her to perfumery. Based in Paris, Amélie finds her inspiration in the city, where she believes that “anything is possible”. She's an expert at transforming the city's vitality into fragrance, whether it's a trendy new restaurant that inspires unique aromatic compositions or an art exhibition that inspires her to create perfumes in certain colors. Travel-related discoveries are her passion: whether flowers or plants, people or landscapes, food or culture, these unique experiences awaken her olfactory imagination. “I return from each destination with the desire to translate into perfume what I saw, tasted and smelled.
